IMPORTANT UPDATE CONCERNING CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19)

We at SIXT are aware that the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) is currently impacting the global community. Every day we feel the effects of this situation in our private and professional life, with national authorities taking extraordinary measures to contain the pandemic of the COVID-19. We know that this situation raises uncertainty also among you, our customers. Therefore, we want you to know that:

YOUR AND OUR EMPLOYEES’ WELL-BEING AND SAFETY IS OUR TOP PRIORITY!


We are constantly monitoring the situation and making decisions with a specially established coordination center together with the responsible authorities. This includes measures we are taking to prevent potential spread of the coronavirus (Covid-19), so that we can always offer the best possible protection for our customers, employees and partners.

Some of the measures we are taking to ensure the highest standards are:

  • We intensively clean and disinfect our branches to minimize virus transmission.
  • We ensure that our employees follow the recommendations of the WHO, such as washing their hands intensively on a regular basis.
  • All vehicles in our SIXT fleet are professionally cleaned in a multi-step process to minimize the potential risk of transmission.

OUR SIXT NETWORK REMAINS OPERATING



Most of our SIXT locations are generally open and following their regular business hours. There might be certain restrictions concerning your rental in highly affected coronavirus areas such as Italy, Spain or Austria. This and further information can be found directly on our SIXT website. Additionally, our customer service team will be happy to help.



YOU’D LIKE TO MAKE CHANGES TO YOUR CURRENT “PAY ON ARRIVAL” RESERVATION

You may change your reservation free of charge, with the exception of pre-paid rentals, by clicking on the link in your confirmation email or visiting our self-service page. In order to process any changes, you will need to enter the security code provided in the PDF document attached to your reservation confirmation email.

YOU’D LIKE TO CHANGE A RESERVATION MADE THROUGH A LEISURE PARTNER OR TRAVEL AGENCY

If your reservation was made via one of our leisure partners or through a travel agency (e.g. Expedia, ADAC and more), please contact your service provider.

YOU’D LIKE TO CHANGE YOUR PRE-PAID RESERVATION

You may request changes for a prepaid reservation in a location that is highly affected by the Coronavirus (e.g. Italy and specific areas in France) or in countries with travel restrictions (e.g. USA or Israel). Please contact our Customer Service Team to get detailed information about any changes regarding your reservation.
